The Jobs page can feel like a lot when there are many open roles. A few minutes spent setting it up properly means you spend your time on jobs that actually fit you.
Start with best matches
At the top of the Jobs page you can switch between “Best matches” and “Most recent”. Best matches shows jobs that fit your profile, which is one more reason to keep your skills and experience up to date. Open “Preferences” to tell ProfilePro what you are looking for, and you will also see a list of jobs based on those preferences.
Narrow it down with filters
Tap “Filters” and combine any of these:
- Role and skill
- Location
- Work arrangement (remote, hybrid or on-site)
- Job type and experience level
- Budget
- Date posted
Press “Show results” to apply them, and “Clear filters” to start again.
Apply in under two minutes
Open a job and choose “Apply for this job”. The form asks for four things, and all of them are optional:
- Cover note: two or three sentences on why you fit this job
- Proposed budget: what you would charge, if the job is project based
- Proposed start date: when you could begin
- Resume: PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 4MB
Then press “Submit Application”. A short, specific cover note does more than a long generic one. Mention one thing from the job description and one thing you have done that matches it.
Keep track
Everything you applied for lives in My Applications. You can also keep jobs you are unsure about in “Saved Jobs”, and use “Not Interested” to tidy up the ones you do not want to see. If a business invites you to an interview, it shows up under Interviews, and you can reply in Messages.
