Choosing the right person is only half of hiring. The other half is agreeing the terms and making sure both sides are protected. ProfilePro keeps that inside the platform, so nobody has to chase a screenshot of a chat.
Extend an offer
From an applicant, choose “Extend offer”. You fill in the role title, employment type, compensation, currency, pay frequency and start date, then press “Send offer”. You can also send one from a chat in Messages, or start from the Contracts page with “New contract”.
Follow the contract through its stages
The Contracts page groups everything by status, so you always know where each one stands:
- Drafts
- Awaiting review
- Awaiting signature
- Active
- Completed
- Cancelled
Pay into escrow
When you start a payment, you enter the agreed amount in naira and can choose “Discuss in chat first” if you want to settle the number before paying. Then you pay the upfront amount into escrow. In the app, the employer needs to pay that amount into escrow before both sides can sign. Escrow means the money is held in escrow instead of being handed over directly. For project work, funds for a milestone can be held the same way and released as the work is completed.
Sign
To sign, enter your full name, then either type your signature or upload an image of it. Add the date, tick the box that says you agree to the terms and confirm. If you need to top up first, the contract screen lets you add payment to your Wallet.
Getting paid
If you are the professional, your earnings sit in your Wallet. From there you can see your transactions, add a bank account and withdraw to it. You will need to verify your account in Settings before you can withdraw.
Before you send
- Check that the scope, the amount and the start date match what you agreed in chat
- For larger projects, break the work into milestones so payment follows progress
- Keep questions in the chat attached to the contract, so there is one record
